Hi, we’re Shane & Emily!
We are a pop/acoustic/folk duo who incorporate many different elements of diverse genres into our original music. We give off a positive/energetic vibe but we don’t shy away from diving into the darker emotions that inspire our music. We travel the country playing universities, theme parks (such as Disney & Busch Gardens), bars (such as the Hard Rock Cafe) and beach restaurants throughout the Florida coast in a 29 foot RV. We have opened up for artists such as Echo Smith, Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), Jonny Craig, Caroline Kole & others! Accompanied by our cat (Boot Scoot), we spread our music everywhere we go and are dedicated to interacting with our followers! We have Facebook, Instagram (shane_emily), Twitter (@shaneandemily), and other music streaming websites such as iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, Soundcloud and beyond! Our first CD contains 9 of our many original songs (which we sell at venues) and currently we are working on our newest one! We take pride in what we do and have been doing such since our start three years ago in the Tampa Bay Area. This next stage in our career, we’re looking for radio play, festival shows, opening for bigger artists and getting signed to a record label. We are excited for the future and whatever it holds. THE BLISS STORY:
Aim Me & Renee met 28 years ago in a spirit-filled, holy rollin’, charismatic church…Renee’s Dad was the Pastor and Aim Me’s Dad was a Deacon. The Deacon ended up kicking the Pastor out of the pulpit. They stayed friends and continued on their spiritual and creative paths.
In 1995, they had the vision of being Troubadours of Divine Bliss, Street Performers who travel around encouraging Revolution of the Spirit & Courage of the Heart. Renee had a dream she was playing an Accordion, so she got one.
Aim Me learned two chords on the Guitar & Bliss was born. They followed their destiny to the streets of New Orleans where (wrapped in battery-operated Christmas lights) they debuted as Christmas Carolers in 1995 on the corner of Royal & Toulouse in the Big Easy.
They were named “Best New Folk Band” by New Orleans’ Offbeat Magazine.
Since then the Troubadours have been touring the US, Canada & Europe for the past 18 years. They have played international festivals, concert halls, house concerts, shared the stage with well-known artists and still busk on street corners. In 2002 they returned to their Old Kentucky Home where they were named, “Best Folk Band” by Louisville’s Leo Weekly.
They have 6 recordings including their latest “Awakening to Love.”

In addition to finding their own healing, they have gone forth to create and offer workshops to help others find healing and empowerment.” .They are avid sacred activists, caretakers of the Earth, homesteaders, healers, workshop facilitators, ministers and initiators of the Mighty Kindness Hoots. They live in As You Wish Woods with a wood stove, an outhouse, a windmill and the Troubadogs- Miracle and Smiley.
Jimmy Lee and Betsy Rose began playing acoustic rock, country and blues in 2009 and quickly became regulars on the Cleveland music scene. Join in for a fun night of unique covers and banter with this lively couple.
MICHAEL KELSEY is a rhythmic, inspired guitarist and performance artist who blends many musical genres with fervour and grace. When he hits the stage to perform, he plays every inch of his guitar pulling out every part of it or anything else an arm’s length or foot kick away. Through out a performance Michael may make use of technology, his improv skills, objects in the room, and audience interaction to make music for the ears but more importantly a musical experience for the senses.
Born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, he began his musical journey weaving in and out of successful area bands as lead guitarist or bassist. Later he opened and ran a thriving recording studio, which after five years he retired in order to enable him to embark freely on his career as a solo artist.
His naturally soulful vocal illuminates carefully chosen lyrics that make his songs shimmer and shine. He plays expressively and manipulates the guitar to create a melodic fusion of alternate tunings and unorthodox hand positions allowing for him to achieve a full sound. The true beauty is in the way the song, the sound and the motion of his music unites. The songs, especially the lush instrumentals, can be reminiscent of the late, great Michael Hedges, but boast Kelsey’s personal percussive stamp, exceptional arrangement and deliberate instrumentation.
His live performances are particularly moving. Sometimes he sounds as if he’s deftly playing more than one guitar. At a Kelsey show audience members may actually lose themselves in the moment and forget they are listening to one person. They can be tapping their foot one minute, in a deep trance the next, then bursting into laughter.
“There is a five piece band in my head. They all have different tastes in music and they are all trying to escape at the same time through my hands, feet and mouth. I hang onto an acoustic guitar and see what happens,” Kelsey sums up his stage show aptly. He is well versed in the art of entertaining and at every show he creates a rare army of sound that comes from one man, a voice and an acoustic guitar.
Whether he’s creating a song spontaneously for a lucky lady in the front row, telling a story complete with sound effects, or letting an inspired moment move his fingers around the fret board, Kelsey never performs the same show twice.
After performing an opening set for folk artist David Wilcox, David described Kelsey’s show as “Cirque Du Soleil on acoustic guitar.”
Kelsey’s abilities have enabled him to be noticed by many. A finalist in Guitar Player Magazine’s national competition and winner of Guitar Center’s “Guitarmageddon,” chosen as best unsigned guitarist out of over 3000 entrants nationwide says it all. This allowed him to be apart of Eric Clapton’s Crossroads 2004 performance where he shared the stage with many of the guitar legends such as Santana, Steve Vai, Eric Clapton. He has toured nationally with Blind Melon and Dishwalla and has opened shows for many artist of many styles including The Doobie Brothers, 38 Special, Rodrigo and Gabriella and the California Guitar Trio.
